EXISTING STAFF
Existing staff are able to undertake a traineeship (existing worker), provided they meet certain criteria.  The employer may also be eligible to receive Commonwealth Incentives for training their existing staff.

Benefits include:

  • Existing staff have their past learning and current competencies recognised and mapped against a nationally accredited qualification.

  • Up-skilling and multi-skilling of your staff adds to your business, and adds to the value and employability of your staff.

  • The training is managed externally by qualified and industry experienced trainers, minimising your own staff's time commitment.

  • Each participant will undergo a detailed skills audit which will determine their current competencies, past learning, and skills required for their job role.

  • The participants will then have an Individual Training Plan designed specifically for them, to reflect what skills are required, while recognising their current competencies.

  • The training is undertaken primarily on-the-job (or off-the-job or a combination - to suit the employer's needs) and will follow a timeline of competency units to complete. This will be completed under the supervision of a nominated workplace supervisor, under the guidance of the Customised Training Workplace Assessor / Trainer.

Customised Training will visit the participants on-the-job at least every 6-8 weeks throughout the training period. We will also make monthly contact with students by telephone / email / fax to address any questions. Our trainers are all fully qualified workplace trainers with relevant industry experience, and will give their students their mobile numbers so that the students can contact them during or after hours if they require assistance. We guarantee to return calls within 24 hours and return corrected assessments within 10 days or at next visit.

COST
The cost of the training programs varies depending upon the nationally recognised qualification undertaken.   Course design, the tuition fees and student enrolment fees are included in the cost of the training program.  Additional costs may be incurred for training resources, training manuals and CDs.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for traineeship and Commonwealth Employer Incentives is to be assessed and determined by an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC).

QUALIFICATIONS
All qualifications funded under this scheme are nationally recognised accredited qualifications, which will be issued when a participant has completed all requirements for a credential as per the Training Package.
